Shearing Day is a time for
celebrating the beautiful Alpaca as well
as joining together with friends to celebrate
the arrival of summer on the ranch. |
| You are welcome to come and simply be an
observer of the process or to get as “hands
on” as you would like. Regardless of how much
or little you want to participate, we would
love to have you come join us to share in this
unique experience. |
| Eagle Spirit Alpacas is proud to announce
that our shearer this year is Paul Smith of
New Zealand. This is Paul’s fourth year on
the ranch and he is a great shearer and entertaining
as well! |
Helping Roles available are:
Alpaca Wrangler (Pens)
Alpaca Wrangler (Shearing Mat)
Toenail Trimmer
Tooth Trimmer
Immunization Provider
Fleece Gatherer
Fleece Sweeper
No Experience? No Problem!
Training will be provided for each role. Please be sure to wear durable work clothes
and closed toed shoes – shorts are not recommended. |
After shearing is completed and the alpacas
are enjoying the cool breezes, a Build Your
Own Tacos and Fajitas Dinner will be served
along with ice cold beverages.
