Shearing Day is a time for celebrating the beautiful Alpaca as well as joining together with friends to celebrate the arrival of summer on the ranch. |
Eagle Spirit Alpacas is very pleased and excited to have been selected as the first rest stop for the Venus de Miles 100 Mile all Female Bike Ride to be held August 28th, 2011. Over 1,000 female riders are expected to participate in this event, so the alpacas are getting psyched up to play host to a very large crowd indeed. Venus de Miles supports the Greenhouse Scholars Program, which provides comprehensive personal and financial support to high-performing, under-resourced college students. We are incredibly proud to be able to support this worthy cause and look forward to meeting and greeting the incredible women making this challenging ride. For more information please go to www.venusdemiles.com and consider contributing to the Greenhouse Scholars program. Also, check out Venus de Miles on Facebook for more information. |
